Ben Daniel Arboricultural Services was set up in 1993, initially to provide a subsistence income for a recent graduate who was looking for a ‘proper job’. Proper jobs were not forthcoming and despite obtaining a place on Imperial Colleges M.Sc. in Environmental Technology, the world of academe had lost its appeal.

BDAS is more than just a tree surgery contracting business (although contracting is one of the main enterprises).
